Our Origin
Our story began over 20 years ago in the South African travel landscape, and we’ve been shaping the industry ever since. As a majority black female-owned company, we recognize the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. Our team is made up of experienced operators who are committed to creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. Partnering with IDF Capital has allowed us to expand our reach and further enhance the services we offer to businesses and organizations across South Africa.
We operate is 3 different locations across South Africa and are a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor. With a local footprint in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town, Club Travel Corporates employs 214 staff.
Club Travel Corporates customer is made up of Government, State Owned Enterprises and Private sector clients.

Club Travel Corporate ownership was held 56% by Thebe Tourism and 44% by Club Travel SA . In 2019 the Travelstart group invested in the Club Travel group. With the acquisition, Club Travel began a joint vision with Travelstart to expand its business and reach new customers through market and technical expertise needed to deliver digital product innovation and grow market share.
Thebe Tourism exited the ownership in 2020 creating an opportunity for a new BEE investor. This led to Alitheia IDF (AIF) and management now own 54% shareholding in the business , which is split 49% by AIF, 51% by the management team (through ManCo). ManCo is 100% black owned, comprising of mostly women. AIF founded in 2014, is a pan African investment manager providing capital to women-led businesses and gender diverse teams. AIF impacts on the inclusion of more women as economic participants, reducing gender disparity and contributing to economic and social development.
